June's Glossybox

 1) Vichy Derma Blend Samples: I was really excited when I saw this because after watching many Pixiwoo and Lisa Eldridge videos I have seen the amazingness which is Vichy Derma Blend in action. I matched myself to the lightest shade...depressing...and applied it under my eyes to hide dark circles, around my nose to conceal redness and around one small blemish. I was expecting it to be quite a think concealer but it went on the skin really nicely and I haven't had any creasing under the eyes. My favourite concealer for a while and I may be putting aside the beloved Collection 2000 to get a full size of this product.

2) Agent Provocateur Samples: I love these nifty samples of perfumes that Glossybox do. These three are from what I thought was just a luxury underwear brand but apparently they do luxury scents too. I would say the black one has a very sexy smell and is more of an evening scent, the  pink one is very girly and fresh and the red one is very musky and mature. They were in nice little glass bottles with a surprisingly good spray for a sample.

3) BM Beauty Mineral Powder: This is a tiny sample of mineral bronzer which I was quite excited about until i swatched it. Being as fair as I am I don't think the colour is going to suit me but I will try it and see how i go.

4) Yves Rocher Sexy Pulp Mascara: I love Yves Rocher and me and mum have been using it for years, one of my first piece of make up is by Yves Rocher...but I've never seen it mentioned in the blogging world. That's why I was happy to see a little tester tube of their new mascara. I tried it this morning and I love it. The shape of the wand fits really nicely against the eye lashes and the shape of the eye and makes them look all fluttery and girly but at the same time coats them evenly adding a lot of volume and length. I will definitely be looking into the full size.

5) Glossybox Brush: I thought this was a nice little edition to the box. Last month they included a mirror and this month a brush...could this be the start of a little collection they're doing? It's quite soft but very flimsy, not something I think I will use daily but it will be good to keep in my bag.

My Hair Care

 1) Silk Oil Of Morocco Intense Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner: With organic Argon oil this shampoo and conditioner in combination leave your hair feel clean, soft and manageable. I was worried about using the shampoo at first, because of having Argon oil so close to my roots, as my hair gets greasy very quickly but it's been a dream. The conditioner has immediate results and you really feel like it's worked deep into your hair. Using a comb after the shower has never been so easy.

2) Hairfix: This is a 3 step system to refreshing your hair from product build up. I like to use dry shampoo's and hair sprays but after a while even shampoo and a good scrub doesn't stop your hair from feeling dull and lifeless. You use the products in order and it helps to get rid of all the rubbish that has built up in your hair from styling products and even just every day wear and tear. WARNING: Do not use on a day where you want to do something special to your hair as it makes it very clean so doing any elaborate up do's will be off the cards. I normally use this once a week.

3) Ojon Hydrating Thickening Spray: I've been a fan of Ojon for years but where the shampoos and conditioners have come and gone this little baby has lived on. This has lasted me for so long! I spray this on damp hair and then blow dry with my hair flipped in front of me. It helps to give boost to my roots which is annoyingly the flattest part of my hair as my hair is so heavy.

4) V05 Miracle Concentrate: I am obsessed with this product. I am longing for Moroccan oil or Mythic oil but this is serving me well for now. I put 3 drops on each side of my hair from mid length to the ends on wet hair and then 1 drop on the ends once it is dry. This oil has Argon oil in it, again, so it leaves the hair shiny, smooth, manageable and it smells amazing! This is a must have for me now for protecting my ends.

5) Phil Smith Hot Stuff Heat Defense Spray: Nothing really amazing about this it's just your standard heat defense spray...it does the job.

6) Superdrug Salt Spray: This was introduced to me by a friend years ago and I've been re-purchasing ever since. I love the slightly untamed, beachy look and this achieves this well without leaving your hair wet looking or sticky. It gives a good amount of texture and  abit of volume in there too!

My Skincare

 1) The Little Bubble Co Mango Delight Shower Gel: Smells amazing and fruity, lathers to soft bubbles which leave your skin feeling silky and smooth. Bonus points, it's cheap and cheerful!

2) Garnier Summer Body: With self-tanner for a subtle bronzed tint without too much effort. Normally 2 applications starts to get that glow going but I use this after every shower.

3) Elemis Gentle Rose Exfoliator: With micro beads for a gentle daily scrub. I love this product because it's not too harsh so you can use it everyday and the micro beads leave your skin feeling fresh and revitalized.

Elemis Melting Cleansing Gel: This cleanser is so luxurious and makes washing your face enjoyable. It is gentle but at the same time strong enough to get rid of makeup, including mascara! I love how it looks like lemon curd but when you start to massage it onto the face it melts into a creamy milk.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir:  Talked about enough in my opinion so I won't go on. I use this as my toner. It leaves my skin feeling toned without feeling tight and I personally love the smell.

4) Decleor Moisturiser: A little of this goes a long way! It is brilliant for young skin as it's light and not too rich and sinks into the skin quickly. I find it leaves a really beautiful base ready for makeup.

LP Skin Therapy Uplifting Facial Water: I spray this on over my makeup as it helps to take away any excess powder on my skin and really brightens up the makeup. Great for that dewy and awake look...and it smells yummy.

5) Decleor Baume De Nuit: I use this product at night after I have washed off my makeup. This has a very waxy consistency which needs to be heated up in your hands before use so I was worried it was going to be too rich for my skin. On the contrary, my skin loved this and drank it right up! In the morning my skin looked so rejuvenated and balanced. Expensive but well worth it, it leaves a little less work for the makeup to do.

6) nspa Nourishing Eye and Lip Treatment: This uses a healthy mix of avocado and jojoba oils with cranberry extract, ginseng, Vitamin E and caffeine to reduce the appearance of dark circles and calms puffiness under the eyes. It is very cooling and soothing and leaves a nice base for concealer. It is also great for chapped lips.

7) Elemis Exotic Cream Moisturising Mark: I tend to use this once a week when my skin is feeling extra dry because it is so moisturising. I leave this on for 10 minutes and even before you wipe it off it dries clear and you can see how bright and plump your skin looks.

Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel: I use this on alternate weeks to the Moisturising Mask if my skin is feeling more greasy as I have very combination skin. I find one moisturises my skin and the other takes away any impurities the cleaners can't reach. Good combo!

8) Elemis Body Oil: Again, a little goes a long way and you want to use this sparingly because how the price. I don't use this after every shower but especially when my skin is feeling more dry I will put a bit of this on my knees, elbows and decolletage after a shower.

With skincare I really believe that you get what you pay for, good products will produce good skin which in turn will create a better base for makeup and fake tan. The products I have used here are what works well for me and my budget but may not work well for you.

What are your favourite skin care products, any recommendations?
